Privacy Policy
TableFort browser extension · Effective date: July 20, 2026
The short version
TableFort collects no data whatsoever. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no servers of ours. Tables are read from the page you are viewing only when you click the extension icon, processed entirely on your device, and never transmitted anywhere.
What the extension stores, and where
- Your preferences (CSV delimiter, auto-clean setting) are stored in your browser's extension storage. If you are signed into your browser, the browser itself may sync them across your devices — TableFort has no access to that sync.
- The multi-page capture buffer (rows you explicitly add while using the capture feature) is stored locally on your device until you export or clear it.
- Your Pro license key (if you buy Pro) is stored locally on your device.
Permissions explained
- Active tab & scripting: when — and only when — you click the TableFort icon, the extension reads the visible HTML tables of the current tab to show and export them. There is no background access to any website.
- Storage: saves your settings, capture buffer and license state, as described above.
- Clipboard: lets you copy an extracted table to your clipboard with one click.
- Alarms: periodically revalidates the Pro license.
- gumroad.com access: used exclusively to validate Pro license keys against Gumroad's public licensing API.
Payments (TableFort Pro)
Pro purchases are processed by Gumroad, which handles your email address and payment details under its own privacy policy. TableFort itself never sees or stores your payment information. If you activate a Pro license, the extension sends only the license key you typed to Gumroad's API to confirm it is valid — nothing else.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
