Privacy Policy
PicFort browser extension · Effective date: July 20, 2026
The short version
PicFort collects no data whatsoever. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no servers of ours. Images are listed from the page you are viewing only when you click the extension icon, and downloads go straight from your browser to your disk.
What the extension stores, and where
- Your preferences (rename pattern) are stored in your browser's extension storage; your browser may sync them across your devices — PicFort has no access to that sync.
- Your Pro license key (if you buy Pro) is stored locally on your device.
Permissions explained
- Active tab & scripting: when — and only when — you click the PicFort icon, the extension lists the images of the current tab. There is no background access to any website.
- Downloads: saves the images you choose through your browser's normal download manager, into a "PicFort" folder.
- Optional site access (ZIP feature): creating a ZIP requires fetching the image files. This permission is requested only when you click "ZIP", is used solely to fetch the images you selected, and can be revoked at any time from your browser's extension settings.
- Storage: saves your settings and license state, as described above.
- Alarms: periodically revalidates the Pro license.
- gumroad.com access: used exclusively to validate Pro license keys against Gumroad's public licensing API.
Payments (PicFort Pro)
Pro purchases are processed by Gumroad, which handles your email address and payment details under its own privacy policy. PicFort itself never sees or stores your payment information. If you activate a Pro license, the extension sends only the license key you typed to Gumroad's API to confirm it is valid — nothing else.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
